This is one in a collection of photographs from a deserted mining town in Montana. It was just sitting near an old campfire site. I noticed that there are actually two handles. One is near the bottom of the pot. The other one was probably hung on a crosspiece over the fire. Time had washed away the soot, but rust was making it's mark.
